    News:

    A Zeiss Personal 700 confocal microscope is available to use for Waterloo faculty to use,

    housed in Biology 1-173 for $20 per hour cost for training or use.

    It has 10x, 20x, 40x (oil), 63x (oil), 100x (oil) objectives.

    DIC is available for all except the 10x objectives.

    solid state confocal laser lines: 405 nm (UV), 488 (green), 555 (red), 639 (far red).

    motorized X-Y stage for tiling and mark&find, LED light source for epi-fluorescence
