Text Box:

Avery E. Broderick

I am an Asociate Professor in the Department of Physics & Astronomy at the University of Waterloo and an Associate Faculty Member at the Perimeter Institute of Theoretical Physics. As a theoretical astrophysicist I spend most of my time thinking about the implications of known physics for astronomical objects and, conversely, ways in which to test physical theories using astronomical observations. I primarily do this by studying compact objects, though have occasionally worked on a variety of other topics. You can find out more about me, my research and even when I make the news by perusing this website!
