Evolution and classification of Asters, Goldenasters and Goldenrods (Fam. Compositae) and phylogeny of the Tribe Astereae. Phytogeography, multivariate morphometrics, cytotaxonomy and chemosystematics used to resolve evolutionary histories. Cytogeography of polyploids.
