Pityopsis graminifolia (Michx.) Small var. tracyi (Small) Semple

This large headed hexaploid race is restricted to peninsula Florida.  It has been treated as P. nervosa var. tracyi (Small) D.B. Ward.  It is a hexaploid (2n=54). It  blooms later than the other varieties and as late as February in South Florida.
