Chrysothamnus Nutt.
RABBITBRUSH
Herbaceous perennials and shrubs native to western North America. Anderson (1984)
presented an overview of the genus. Some 14 species are included and occur from
southwestern Canada to northern Mexico. Heads lack ray florets. The genus is closely
related to and possibly part of the genus Ericameria. Chrysothamnus
nauseous (Pallas) Britt., Rubber Rabbitbrush is the most widely distributed and
includes 22 subspecies.
