The Central News Agency (CNA) representative in Ottawa, Mr. S.C. Chang phoned C. Chieh. Chieh told a long story about the case, and suggested that the Government should buid a large General Sun Li-Jen Library.

In his interview with the representative of Central News Agency, Chieh said that his involvement was not simply because he is an adopted son of General Sun, but this is the time to restore justice in Taiwan, ROC, for Chinese, or for that matter for the entire human race. Without justice, the society is a dangerous place. Do we want to live in a society that has no justice?

Following the interview, Mr. Chang wrote:

Please keep in touch. I do appreciate your great efforts to rehabilitate not only Gen. Sun the man but also the spirit of justice that is so badly needed in any Chinese society. Chieh said he has many letters to write, some to government branches of Taiwan in order to achieve some goals.

A reporter of the Chinese World (Shih Chie Ri Bao) in Toronto interviewed C. Chieh and published an article in the Toronto edition. Chieh said he would like to see the government in Taiwan estibalish funding for the General Sun Li-Jen Library in as part of the compensation.

January 9-10 2001

Control Yuan passed a resolution to accept a report which very positively declare the wrongfull accusation of General Sun in 1955. After having read these News, Chieh wrote an E-mail to the president of the Control Yuan, Mr. Chien Fu thanking the Control Yuan for the courage to adopt such a report and for their declaration of the wrongful accusation of General Sun and his subordinates in 1955.
